Description

The sensitivity, positional accuracy and spectral resolution as well as the multiple temporal coverage of the eROSITA all-sky survey provides new insights into a wide range of astrophysical phenomena and stellar populations. It enables detailed studies for many types of stellar sources including rare objects, but also a census of large samples of stars in the solar vicinity, nearby young stellar populations and star-forming regions. I present an overview of the stellar X-ray sky as seen by eROSITA, focussing on coronal emission from magnetically active stars.
