Description

In this presentation, in a first part, I review the current measurements of the hot CGM carried out on eROSITA using the galaxy samples from SDSS and GAMA. Then I discuss the potential of combining the next-level spectroscopic surveys (4MOST and DESI) with the latest eROSITA observations to measure the properties of hot CGM. In a second part, I discuss the challenges encountered in modelling hot CGM observations and how to solve them with a forward modelling approach leveraging hydro-dynamical simulations.
